Prevalence of Fungal Rhinosinusitis in Patients Presenting with Nasal Polyps

Aim: To see the prevalence of fungal rhino sinusitis in patients presenting with nasal polyposis. Study design: Cross-sectional study. Place and duration study: Department Otorhinolaryngology Head Neck surgery, PIMS, Islamabad from 1st October 2021 to 31st March 2022. Methodology: Patients polyps fulfilling our inclusion criterion ENT PIMS. Eighty for surgery after admitting them specimen was sent culture. Results: Sixty nine showed positive culture only 11 were negative growth. Among 69 51 males 18 females. five percent male growth while 90% females Conclusion: The is closely related infection, so all are suggested undergo work-up should be done rule infection suggested, that early diagnosis made earliest treatment started disease.
